Representation in the Family District Court
Court Appearance Solicitor Dublin: Appearing in court is a very daunting and stressful experience, especially if you are attending for the first time. You may feel overwhelmed and unprepared, but at the same time, you are seeking to present your case in the best possible way and to get the best outcome.
Whereas you can represent yourself some people would prefer to be legally represented. In that case, it is best for you to seek legal advice so that your solicitor can prepare your case for you in advance of the hearing date.

If you are making an application for access , child custody and joint guardianship , relocation you will be required to complete and sign a statement of arrangements which has to be served on the other party and lodged in the family district court office.

Where the parties cannot agree on access/custody the court may order a section 32 report to ascertain the wishes/voice of the child.
If you are making an application for maintenance then you will be required to prepare and sign a statement of your means and you will find this document on the court services website.
You can also decide to represent yourself. The court services will not offer any legal advice so that is why it is important to seek legal advice before you represent yourself in court. Please call this office and we will be happy to advise.
Representation in the Family Circuit Court
We offer legal advice and court representation in the following :-

- Co-Habitation

With respect to the Family Circuit Court, a number of documents will have to be drafted including the Family Law Civil Bill, Affidavit of Means, Affidavit of Welfare, and a variety of other affidavits, as required.
The affidavit of means and affidavit of welfare will have to be sworn.
Documents such as an appearance and a defence will have drafted, lodged and served.
Financial documentation will have to be exchanged and this can be become very complex and will require careful analysis by your solicitor.
Your case may involve case progression hearings and motion hearings for access and maintenance and perhaps a number of adjourned hearings along the way.
